What precautions are being taken in response to the pandemic?
The best precaution you can take to protect yourself and our loved ones is to be fully vaccinated by our wedding. It is our hope that all guests who are medically able to be vaccinated either already are, or will make plans to be, fully vaccinated. Remember that the two dose vaccines require three to four weeks between doses and you are not considered fully vaccinated until two weeks after your last dose.
Our Message to Guests
We are sorry to say that the pandemic is still very much a part of everyday life. Our deepest wish is to safely celebrate on our wedding day with all of our friends and family. To that goal, we sincerely encourage all of our gusts to get vaccinated. In the meantime, we will use our website to keep you all apprised of any changes. It goes without saying, but we would ask that you do not attend if you are unwell.
What restrictions will be in place at the venue?
There are currently no restrictions in place, but this can change at any time. As of right now, masks are not required, but guests wishing to wear masks are encouraged to do so. We will also have masks available. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the mansion. In addition, each place setting will have its own mini bottle of hand sanitizer for your convenience and to take with you!
Is there any other information relevant to COVID related concerns?
Our venue is subject to Maryland State and Frederick County restrictions for restaurants. We are expecting between 130 and 135 guests. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside, weather permitting. The reception is in the ballroom, but the terrace will remain open to guests throughout the night.

What should I wear?
Gentlemen would be well turned out in a suit. Ladies are welcome to wear cocktail attire or a floor length gown. The bridal party and guests of honor will be wearing tuxedos or floor length gowns. Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside on the terrace weather permitting. Guests will not need to walk on grass, but please wear shoes that are comfortable enough to dance the night away!
What color are the bridesmaids wearing?
An incredibly thoughtful question, but not necessary under the circumstances. Please do not be concerned about the color of the bridesmaid's dresses when selecting your own dress.
Is there a hotel block?
Yes, in fact due to high demand, we have two blocks! However, both blocks are currently closed. Please see our accommodations page for all information regarding the hotel blocks and alternate places to stay.
Will transportation between the hotels and Ceresville be provided?
We have arranged for transportation for guests of both the Marriott Springhill Suites and Homewood Suites by Hilton. See the transport schedule here.
When should we arrive for the ceremony?
The ceremony will start promptly at five o'clock in the evening. Guests are encouraged to arrive as early as half past four, and should arrive with enough time to find a seat.
Are you requesting an unplugged ceremony?
Yes, we are requesting an unplugged ceremony.
What is an unplugged ceremony?
An unplugged wedding ceremony is a ceremony in which the couple requests that guests put away cell phones, cameras, and any other devices for the entirety of the ceremony. Effectively, guests are also requested not to photograph or record any part of the ceremony. Not only does this allow guests to be present in the moment, it is also important for photographs. It is not uncommon for ceremony photos these days to be filled with images of guest staring at their screens, or even worse, guests stepping into the isle or in front of the photographer in an attempt to "get the shot". While we appreciate guests wanting to take photos of the ceremony, this is not what we want for our ceremony photos. We have hired an exceptionally talented photographer and videographer. Please trust that they will get exceptional footage of the ceremony and keep your phones and cameras off for our ceremony. The venue staff has been instructed to enforce this request.
Where should we park?
Ceresville mansion has a parking lot on the premises large enough for all guests.
What if I need to leave my car at Ceresville overnight?
No problem! Please just have it picked up by 10:00 am on Sunday.
What is the schedule?
Check out the Order of Events. Reception will be over at 11:30 pm.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
